Back in 2020, when I started my first album, Cascade, I never imagined that I’d have recorded my 4th album by 2024. And as I write this, we just recorded my 5th album, a duo with Kate Willyard that will hopefully be released by Spring 2025. And we have the 6th album planned to be recorded around Halloween, 2025. As with every album I’ve recorded this is dedicated to my wife, Leslie. This musical adventure we’ve been on for the past 4 years has been one of the best things that ever happened to me. I also want to thank the session musicians that play on all my albums- Fred Kosak, Alissa Wolf, Clay Lowder, Evan Suiter, Jack Maynes, Ted Hockenbury, Cody Tinnin, Floyd Pepper, and Kate Willyard. This album is so much better for their collaboration and their skill. Also, thanks always to Scott Smith, who produced and engineered this album. Scott has taught me so much and introduced me to the music world in Durango, and I’ve never been the same.

Lastly, the song “7 Crows” is based on the Welsh hymn tune “Hyfrydol” by Rowland H. Prichard (1811-1887). Two of the more popular hymns using this tune are “Love Divine, All Love Excelling”, and “Alleluia, Sing to Jesus” among about a half a dozen others. I changed the melody so much that I’m not sure many would recognize this, but it’s important to give credit where it’s due.
