About Shadow of a Fading Dream

Rob Wigley with guitar smiling in the Durango Colorado recording studio

The studio musicians who appear on this album are mostly the same that played on my first two.  One of the musicians referred to this group as the “dream team” of Durango musicians and I believe that’s accurate. It’s a total privilege for me to play with these folks. They are incredible players and each brought their own ideas to the studio for playing these songs. I also think that perhaps my albums should be “Rob Wigley, with Scott Smith” because Scott, as the producer and recording engineer, has so much to do with how these songs are put together, and I am grateful for his guidance.

Shadow of a Fading Dream is dedicated to my wife, Leslie. Without her I would be “more than lost”. All these songs are better because of her. None would exist without her.

I’m also dedicating this album to my father, Bill Wigley, who is mentioned in the song “Ventana Wilderness”. He taught me many lessons that I still remember and have passed on to our kids and grandchild. As I wrote in Ventana Wilderness, “I’m grateful for these things I never thought I’d see”.
