About the Kate and Rob Duo

In 2020 Rob Wigley recorded his first album, Cascade, at Scooter’s Place in Durango, Colorado. Kate Willyard was asked by Scooter to sing the background vocals on the album. Since then, she sang on the next three albums that Rob recorded. It was obvious to Rob and his co-writer/spouse Leslie that Kate’s vocals complimented Rob’s and they always looked forward to the next sessions to see what Kate would bring to their songs. In early 2024 Rob asked Kate to join them co-writing new songs and recording a joint album. They plan to record this album in late 2024 and release it sometime in 2025.

Kate co-founded the Americana band, Cannondolls, in Durango, Colorado with Caitlin Cannon and played with her from 2012 until 2018. Kate has performed with various bands in and around Durango over the years.

Kate has been a songwriter for over a decade as well as a voice and songwriting teacher at iAM Music in Durango.
