A Song of Thanks and Hope

A Song of Thanks and Hope

I’m thankful for this life we have
And everything we do
I’m grateful for the time I’ve spent.
Always loving you.

I’ve watched our children grow up strong
And now a grandchild too
To see the lessons we’ve passed down
The good that they will do.

Chorus:
Watching as they navigate the life they built themselves
Hoping they find love, like ours, and happiness as well.

We may not be here too long
These moments we hold dear
Memories that we have shared
Treasure through the years

Chorus:

A Song of Thanks and Hope – This was the last song written for this album. In fact, I didn’t even record a demo for it, I just sent Scott a voice memo recording of it from my iPhone a few days before the recording sessions. It’s a very simple chord progression. I heard it as an “island” type of bouncy song. We wanted to tell our kids how proud we are of them, and for them to know what our hope is for their future, and how grateful we are for this life that we have. That’s a lot to say in a simple song!
