This is an instrumental, though it might someday morph into a song (similar to how Cascade became a song). The original name was Asus, because it has several suspended chords in it and it’s in the key of A. I wanted the band to play this to see how they improvised. It’s essentially a jam song. I told Leslie I thought it should be “spooky”, she still looks at me funny. Jack Maynes, the keyboard player on this, is a jazz player, obviously, as is the bass player, Evan Suiter. Fred created a theme to this song while we played it twice prior to recording it. This wasn’t intended, when I first wrote it, to be on this album, but the band is so good, and I like what they created.
